Mark Silverman

Founder, Mark’s Northeastern Furniture Foundation

With more than 45 years of experience in the storage industry, Mark has built innovative, reliable, and affordable storage and transportation solutions for customers across a range of industries.

Under his leadership, these companies have grown to regional leaders from local operations. They serve residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

Driven by his commitment to environmental responsibility and social impact, Mark launched Mark’s Northeastern Furniture Foundation, which has successfully repurposed over one million pounds of furniture across New England and donated to people in need.

Keaghlan Wolfe Johnson

Director of Digital Growth, Phlash Consulting

Keaghlan Wolfe Johnson leads digital growth strategies at Phlash Consulting, where she has increased lead generation by 750%. With a background in leadership roles at Aegis Sciences Corporation, ADP, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Keaghlan brings expertise in business development and sales management.

Inspired by the mission of Mark’s Northeastern Furniture Foundation, Keaghlan is honored to serve on the board, helping advance its work in supporting underserved communities while reducing environmental waste.

Professor Ted Clark

Executive Director, Northeastern University Center for Family Business

Professor Ted Clark brings decades of expertise in entrepreneurship, family business management, and marketing. With an MBA from Clark University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Maine, Ted has taught at Northeastern, Clark University, and Fisher College.

In addition to his academic career, Ted has held leadership positions in marketing and product development, and he has consulted for businesses in sectors ranging from software development to medical billing.

Ted is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Family Firm Institute and Chambers of Commerce, and co-chairs the Massachusetts Family Business Awards program. He also serves as editor of the Northeastern University Family Business Quarterly.

Ted lives in Upton, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.

David Nathan

David Nathan brings over 20 years of experience in media, sales, advertising, and communications, combined with deep industry knowledge of the moving and storage sector. As president and founder of COWS (Containers On Wheels), David helped provide convenient portable storage solutions to customers throughout North America.

Previously, David served as sales director for We Make Water, a company pioneering the creation of drinking water from the air, providing solutions to governments, NGOs, and corporations worldwide. He also mentors startups across various industries and is a recognized portrait photographer and videographer.
David proudly supports Mark’s Northeastern Furniture Foundation as a forward-thinking model of how local businesses can drive social impact while promoting environmental sustainability.

Justin Silverman

Executive Director, New England First Amendment Coalition Attorney | Educator | Former Journalist

Justin Silverman is the executive director of the New England First Amendment Coalition, where he advocates for open government and press freedoms across the six New England states. A Massachusetts-based attorney, Justin has contributed to leading publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe.

A former journalist, publisher, and adjunct professor at institutions such as the University of Maine School of Law and New England Law Boston, Justin is deeply involved in First Amendment issues and media law.

He holds a law degree from Suffolk University and a journalism degree from Syracuse University. Justin brings his extensive experience in advocacy, law, and communications to his role on the Foundation’s board.

Derek Rawls

Partner, Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP

Derek Rawls is a partner at Gray, Gray & Gray and a leader in the firm’s tax department. With extensive expertise in state and local taxation, Derek guides clients through compliance challenges across industries including software, life sciences, real estate, and professional services.

Prior to joining Gray, Gray & Gray, Derek served for nearly two decades at the Big Four firms, including as partner at Ernst & Young.

Derek’s leadership ensures businesses operate efficiently and compliantly, making him a valuable contributor to the strategic direction of Mark’s Northeastern Furniture Foundation.
